Putput is a Swiss – Danish artist group based in Denmark. Since 2011, they’re engaged in creating extra-ordinary visual dialogs by sculpting and photographing. As we can see in the Popsicles series, the objects they recreate call our senses to question the feelings we’re normally used to.

Agnes Thor takes inspiration from the very base of what has formed her perception of the world, her childhood in Sweden where the Nordic landscapes are somewhere in between fiction and reality. Her Aurora Borealis series of photographs are memories brought up with stories that meet a fairy like imagination.

Florent Chavouet is a young French illustrator who travelled to Japan and wrote two great books while he was there. Tokyo Sanpo and Manabe Shima are midway between travel books, touristic guides and comics. Magnificent detailed sets composed with lovely and funny characters, are made only with coloured pencils and a great touch of humour, trademarks of Florent's unique signature. We'd like reality to always look like that!

Something organic seems to be sprawling out of the installations of Brazilian artist Henrique Oliveira . His tridimensional installations detach themselves from the wall and enter into the spatial, wringing such an organic material, halfway between sculpture and architecture, sometimes creating a labyrinthine structure where the visitor can venture.

Oliveira has been working on site as OK Artist in Residence since February and offering insights into his manner of working in guided tours. The exhibition Ursulinens Prolapse at the Offenes Kulturhaus in Linz, Austria. until October 6th, 2012.

The Annenberg Space For Photography in Los Angeles presents an original exhibition of Rock & Roll photography that shifts the focus from the subject of the photo to the person behind the camera. The exhibition honors those who were around to capture the staggering photos that have immortalized the most iconic musicians in the world and today define our vision of Rock culture.

The exhibition is accompanied by three consecutive Saturday performances in the courtyard outside of the venue. July 14th began the three weeks of concerts with a sold out Moby show. Portugal. The Man gave an amazing performance July 21st in a tribute show for the 40th anniversary of the release of T.Rex’s establishing album The Slider in 1972. The band is one of many that have been stylistically influenced by the glam Rock British group. Raphael Saadiq & Band of Skulls will be the last show in the series on August 4th. The bands will perform covers of Bob Dylan that celebrate the album Chimes of Freedom: The Songs of Bob Dylan Honoring 50 Years of Amnesty International, which features covers by over 80 musicians. The events are free but require RSVP.

The photography exhibition will run until October 7th, 2012.

Indie magazine fans everywhere are surely tuned into what those clever folks at Stack have been up to, with their ingenious you don't know what you're gonna get but it will be awesome subscription service made up of super cool indie publications. Sort of like Pandora for magazines. Or something.

In celebration of the Olympics (and really, isn't every event in London?) the Stack crew are back at The Book Club with a special indie sports mag edition of their Printout event. Andrea Kurland of Huck, Jonathan Wilson of The Blizzard and Philip Diprose of The Ride Journal will all be there, waxing philosophical. Or just hanging out. Plus the magazine swap is back. So, you know, bonus points.

First emerging in the 1980s, Herb Ritts revolutionized portraiture and fashion photography during his career and his fresh precise aesthetic quickly gained prominence among the most recognizable in the industry. A native of Los Angeles, he knew the city inside and out. He was raised within the bustling concrete jungle and was always comfortable around the many celebrities who flocked to it. It is evident in his work that he knew exactly where and when to photograph his subjects to catch the best natural light that LA had to offer, making them look not only beautiful, but also honest. In his career, Ritts photographed larger than life personalities such as Michael Jackson, Elizabeth Taylor, George Clooney, Cindy Crawford, Madonna, Ronald Reagan, Brad Pitt, Steven Hawking and the Dalai Lama. He also shot numerous music videos and commercials.

An exhibition of his most striking works will be held at the J. Paul Getty Center in Los Angeles until September 2nd, which has been extended from its original end date.
