A man who was shot while being tested for pregnancy weight gain died in Florida on Sunday, state officials said.
The shooting occurred in the city of Miami, according to Miami-Dade police.
State police said the man was taken to the University of Miami Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
The man, who was in his 30s, was shot at point-blank range after he was in the process of taking the pregnancy test from a lab employee, according the police report.
He was transported to Broward Health Medical Center and later pronounced dead, police said.
It was unclear how the man became pregnant after taking the test, but he is believed to have been carrying a healthy pregnancy.
